Cherie*
Main Ho Gaya Deewana was indeed a lovely number from Vijeta, which released in 1996.
The song, which was penned by Sameer, was composed by Anand-Milind.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Kavita Krishnamurthy rendered it.
The track was recorded for J P Dutta’s Choodiyan. It was used in Vijeta when that film was shelved. Incidentally, the lead pair of both the films was the same – Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon.
(*Note: Many popular websites spell it Shaire, which is incorrect. Cherie is the word, folks! It is pronounced Sherry, and is French for dear or sweetheart.)
