Sona Sona – Aadesh Srivastava’s only contribution to the soundtrack of Major Saab – was the longest track in
the film.
Penned by Dev Kohli, it was half-a-dozen minutes and 48 seconds long.
Of course, Sona is Punjabi for beautiful, but since it is a Hindi song, it wouldn’t be incorrect to say while those who loved the track would say it was musical gold, those who were bored of the trend would probably have preferred to hit the sack (sona also means to sleep).
The Son(u)g was rendered by Jaspinder Narula, Mr Nigam and Sudesh Bhosle.
