It was a (Sanjeeva)nice (Sa)number

Interestingly, the only song that gave Chori Chori Jab Nazrein Mileen stiff competition when it came to catchiness was Chura Lo Na Dil Mera Sanam, which was also from Kareeb.

It was set in a kitchen, and included lines that went, “Masala baant loon, main pyaaz kaat loon” (which can be translated to, “Let me segregate the spices and chop onions”).

Integral to this recipe (read: Anu Malik’s composition) were Rahat Indori’s lyrics.

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that it was garnished by the duo who rendered the track – Sanjeevani Bhelande and Kumar Sanu.
