Gharwali
Baharwali –
which released in 1998 – was a remake of Thaikulame Thaikulame, a Tamil
film which released in 1995, and spawned a couple of other South Indian remakes
[namely Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu (a Telugu film that released in
1996) and Naanu Nanna Hendthiru (a Kannada film that released in 1999).]
The only memorable song on the soundtrack of the Hindi film was its title track, Ek Taraf Hai Gharwali Ek Taraf Baharwali.
