Gali gali
mein shor hai, sabhi listeners bored hain.
This line
could be translated to, “Word has spread in every lane, that all the listeners
are bored.”
The use of
that adjective to describe a track rendered by Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu in
the 1990s was uncommon. The song had to be awful, and that’s precisely what Hum
Do Premee was.
The song –
which was from Tu Chor Main Sipahi, which released in 1996 – was penned
by Anand Bakshi and composed by Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen.
Ironically,
it was the highlight of the film’s soundtrack.
