Davar didn’t (Shia)make a mark

The title track of Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate, which released in 1998 and was the last film directed by the legendary Hrishikesh Mukherjee, may have been inspired by the song from Bobby, which released a quarter of a century earlier, but by no means was it anything to crow about.

The highlight of the song was that it was rendered by Shiamak Davar, who isn’t just the guru of contemporary dance and an award-winning choreographer, but has also cut a few Indipop albums.

The song, which was penned by Anand Bakshi, was composed by Anand-Milind.
