There was
nothing remarkable about the soundtrack of Rajkumar, which released in
1996.
But there
was one song that did stand out. And that was Payal Meri, which was five
minutes and 55 seconds long.
However, it
would not be incorrect to state that the track didn’t have a long shelf life or
high recall value.
That is
ironic, given the number of legends who collaborated on it – it was penned by
Anand Bakshi, composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and rendered by Alka Yagnik and
Udit Narayan.
Moreover,
it was picturised on Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.
