It wasn’t a SMasH hit

Although it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that Tere Pyaar Mein, from Zor, was a popular track, it neither had a long shelf life nor high recall value.

This was Hema Sardesai’s second contribution to the soundtrack of the film.

She was joined behind the microphone by the one and only Shankar Mahadevan. It was his only contribution to the soundtrack.

While the duo sang about forgetting their naam, subah-shaam and even saara jahaan, it wasn’t long before the same fate befell the song, which was penned by Anand Bakshi.

It was composed by Agosh.

Sardesai wasn’t a kudi anjaani

Agosh was a band comprising three members – R Anandh, Gopal Rao and Shaleen Sharma. In fact, its name was made up of the first letter of Anandh’s name and the first two letters of Rao’s and Sharma’s first names.

They composed the music of Zor, which released in 1998.

This blog contains posts on a couple of songs from the film. 

Hema Sardesai rendered the only female solo on its soundtrack – Main Kudi Anjaani. It was ironically named, because she was already a fairly popular singer by then.

The song was penned by Anand Bakshi.
