(Ud)It was certAinlY not overrated

Tanhai Tanhai, which was composed by Rajesh Roshan, was the shortest song on the soundtrack of Koyla. It was five minutes and 35 seconds long.

By no means would it be incorrect to state that it was one of the most melodious and memorable songs of the 1990s.

And it would be appropriate to use another adjective to describe it – underrated.

The song was penned by Indeevar, who passed away on February 27, 1997. The film released a few weeks after his death.

(Ud)It was rendered by none other than Alka Yagnik and Mr Narayan.
