Taare Hain
Baraati, the
song from Virasat, did conjure up images of stars (of the celestial
kind) at a wedding procession.
The credit for that goes to none other than Javed Akhtar, who penned it.
The song, which was half-a-dozen minutes and 33 seconds long, was sung by Jaspinder Narula (whose rendition was undoubtedly the highlight) and Kumar Sanu.
The best line of the track, which was composed by Anu Malik, was, “Jeevan saathi hum, diya aur baati hum”.
It could be translated to, “We are partners for life. We’re a flame and a wick.”
