This song's apP(at)e(a)l was short-lived

Devang Patel became famous for Patelscope, a series of albums that spoofed popular international hits and Hindi film songs.

But he forayed into the Hindi film music industry with a couple of tracks from Gambler, which released in 1995.

The longer of those was Meri Marzi – it was seven minutes and 41 seconds long.

By no means would it be incorrect to state that although the song was catchy, it didn’t have a long shelf life.

The hilarious lyrics of the track were its highlight. They were credited to Vinay Dave.

Anu Malik composed it.
