In the
mid-1990s, Stereo Nation released an album titled I’ve Been Waiting. Its
title track contained a line that went, “O Baby Don’t Break My Heart”.
Hindi film
music aficionados had also been waiting with bated breath for one of our own to
be inspired by the song. But sadly, its desi version, O Baby Don’t
Break My Heart, didn’t exactly blare out of stereos across the nation.
The track
was from Mohabbat, which released in 1997.
It was
rendered by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Kavita Krishnamurthy.
Sameer
penned the track, which was composed by Nadeem-Shravan.
