Sanu sang this (so)long song

Kathai Aankhon Waali was the longest song on the soundtrack of Duplicate – it was seven minutes and 13 seconds long.

Of the four tracks from the film on this blog, it was, incidentally, the only solo. It was rendered by none other than Kumar Sanu, whose other contribution to the soundtrack was Wah Ji Wah.

When I first heard it, I didn’t know what Kathai meant. But when I looked it up, I found out that it was used by poets to describe a brown-eyed girl.

Javed Akhtar penned the track, which Anu Malik composed.
