Malik wasn’t at his best

Nitin Raikwar, the king of tapori tracks, summed up India’s diversity with the line, “Yahan ki Eid wah wah, yahan Diwali wah wah” (which could be translated to, “India’s Eid is wonderful, and India’s Diwali is awesome”).

The aforementioned line was from East or West, India is the Best, the longest song on the soundtrack of Judwaa – it was seven minutes and four seconds long.

The phrase pop patriotism was taken literally, because the song contained the line, “Saare jahan se achcha, Hindustan hamara”.

The track wasn’t just composed, but also rendered by Anu Malik.
