Its popularity was no S(an)urprise

Subhash Ghai, who produced and directed Pardes (1997), was keen that A R Rahman compose the songs of the film.

But when the maestro from Madras declined the offer, it paved the way for Nadeem-Shravan to bag a Star Screen Award and earn a Filmfare nomination in the Best Music Director category.

By no means would it be incorrect to state that Do Dil Mil Rahe Hain, which was penned by Anand Bakshi, was a (Ku)marvellous song.

It was rendered by none other than Mr Sanu, and was the only male solo in the film.
