It was ABsolutely AMAJor disappointment

Macarena, the Spanish dance number from Los Del Rio’s 1993 album A Mi Me Gusta, became so popular in the mid-1990s that it spawned a desi version.

The song – Dil Le Le Lena – was the shortest track on the soundtrack of Auzaar, which released in 1997 – it was four minutes and 19 seconds long.

It wasn’t just penned and composed by Anu Malik, but he was credited as one of the four who rendered it too.

The others were Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Anamika and Jojo Nathaniel.

Unfortunately, the shelf life of the track was short too.
