It sAlVaged the film’s soundtrack

By no means would it be incorrect to state that the highlight of Prem Granth, which released in 1996 and marked the directorial debut of Raj Kapoor’s youngest son, Rajiv (also known as Chimpu), was its soundtrack.

The songs were composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, who returned to R K Films after 14 years, but it was their weakest soundtrack for the banner.

Dil Dene Ki Rut Aayi was the better of the two tracks from the film on this blog.

It was penned by none other than Anand Bakshi.

Alka Yagnik and Vinod Rathod rendered it.
