which was penned by Javed Akhtar, was the shortest song on the soundtrack of Border,
which released in 1997 – it was seven minutes and 33 seconds long.
By no means would it be incorrect to state that it was Anu Malik’s best soundtrack to date, and he was nominated in the Best Music Director category at the Filmfare Awards in 1998. Unfortunately, he didn’t win the trophy.
While its highlight was undoubtedly its melody, there’s no two ways about the fact that Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam’s rendition come a close second.
