There was
a song on the soundtrack of Henna which could be dedicated to a person who
thinks it is fashionable to be late.
It went, “Main der karta nahin, der ho jaati hai.”
That can be translated to, “I don’t deliberately get late. The delay is by itself.”
If there was one man who thought Hindi film music buffs were so gullible that they would believe the aforementioned statement, it was Ravindra Jain, who penned and composed the track.
It was rendered by Suresh Wadkar, who was joined behind the microphone by Lata Mangeshkar.
