Its K(avit)atchiness was certainly undeniaB(hos)le

Jumma Chumma De De, the chartbuster from Hum, was inspired by Mory Kante’s Tama.

The latter was penned by Anand Bakshi and composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

Interestingly, Jumma (the name of Kimi Katkar's character) is also Urdu for Friday (the day Hindi films release), while Chumma is Hindi for a kiss.

The song, which Sudesh Bhosle and Kavita Krishnamurthy rendered, was apt, given that at that point, there was a slump in Amitabh Bachchan's career.

It took him a while to bounce back following the professional setbacks, but the aforementioned words eventually proved to be prophetic.
