Well, the
title of this post does state the obvious, but it is a fact that although Lata
was a sexagenarian when Lamhe
released, she could give singers who were decades her junior (Mangeshk)arun for
their money.
Kabhi Main Kahoon, a song from the film, illustrated this. She was joined behind the microphone by Hariharan.
The track had its origin in a tune that was a part of the background score of Chandni, which released a couple of years earlier.
Anand Bakshi penned it.
Incidentally, the music of both the films was composed by Shiv-Hari.
