Owing to
all the hype surrounding Jumma Chumma De De, it was easy to forget that
there was a hummable number on the soundtrack of Hum.
The song in question was Sanam Mere Sanam.
It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that it was a song about insomnia – the next two lines of the track, which Anand Bakshi penned, “Kasam teri kasam, mujhe aaj kal neend aati hai kum” (which could be translated to, “Darling, I swear, I don’t get enough sleep these days.”)
Composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, (Am)it was rendered by Alka Yagnik and Mr Kumar.
