Balasubrahmanyam did a SPlendid job

Gaur se suniye is gaane ko, kyon ki yeh gaana Mr Gaur ne likha hai (Listen to this song carefully, because this song has, in fact, been penned by Mr Gaur).

The track in question was the title track of Aaja Meri Jaan, which released in 1993.

And the aforementioned Mr Gaur is mononymously credited as Yogesh.

The song was rendered by S P Balasubrahmanyam.

R D Burman composed it. Despite the treatment meted out to him in the evening of his career, it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that it was (P)an(ch)amazing as usual.

Lata's fans certainly weren’t overJo(ll)yed

The films produced and directed by Yash Chopra have invariably boasted of memorable soundtracks.

However, those of the films produced under his banner, Yash Raj Films (YRF), but helmed by other directors, haven’t always been your rhythmic fix.

And Aaina, which released in 1993, was no exception.

Undoubtedly, the most popular track from the film was Goriya Re Goriya Re. It was four minutes and 43 seconds long.

The song, which was penned by Sameer Anjaan, was rendered by Lata Mangeshkar and Jolly Mukherjee.

It was composed by the Sens, uncle Dilip and nephew Sameer.

This was a thought-provoking (Sa)number

Life is indeed a gamble. And who would know that better than Prakash Mehra, who took a punt at producing, directing and writing films?

And obviously, his expertise wasn’t limited to these disciplines. He excelled as a lyricist too.

He penned Yeh Zindagi Hai Ek Juaa, the title track of Zindagi Ek Juaa, which released in 1992.

This blog contains a post on the male version of the song, which was rendered by Kumar Sanu.

There was a female solo as well. Asha Bhosle rendered it.

It was a motivational track, composed by Bappi Lahiri.
